Kelso Games Next Weekend!

The city of Kelso, WA sponsors/hosts a free weekend of Highland Games on September 7th and 8th!

The Festival is held at Tam O'Shanter Park starting at 8:00am Saturday with a 5k run/walk road race.  They're going to have piping and dance competitions on Saturday as well as a host of other activities.  Sunday starts with the Kelso Highlander Festival Kirkin' services (click Activities on their web site) at 8:30am, and starting at 9:00am, you can enjoy stone and caber toss events, a for-charity duck race, and other entertainment.

At beautiful Tam O'Shanter Park on Saturday, September 7th, 2013 the festivities begin.  Starting at 8:00 am with a fun run/walk 5K road race, Highland Dance Competition, Silent Auction, Highland Games and Piping Competition.  At 10:00 am please join us for the annual Highlander Festival Parade and the shortbread contest, which is held in the covered area at Tam O'Shanter Park and at 12:30 will be the Welcome & Parade of Clans.

Sunday, September 8th, 2013


At 8:30 AM  Tartan Worship Service at Tamo O'Shanter Part and again at 10:30 AM at the First Presbyterian Church in Kelso.
The Highland Games will begin at the park at 9:00 AM with those hardy lads and lasses tossing the caber and throwing the stone. There will be entertainment in the afternoon at the park.
The Kelso Rotary will be holding their Annual Duck Race in the afternoon raising money for charities and scholarships.
Get your Highlander Festival Buttons, on sale July 5th, for only $1.00 each and you could win many prizes have been donated from various merchants in Kelso
