Scholarship form is now available!

Each year OPS is proud to sponsor music scholarships for pipers and drummers who have participated in OPS competitions throughout the year.

Only current OPS members are eligible to be candidates for the scholarships and must have competed in at least two of the OPS season’s competitions (drummers need only have competed once).  Players in all grade levels of competition are eligible, including chanter and drum pad.

The scholarships awards are provided so that the recipients may attend the piping and drumming school of their choice. Tuition will be paid directly to the school of the winner’s choice.

Where are you Robbie Buchanan?

This handsome portrait is of Robert "Robbie" Buchanan, who went to high school in Lake Oswego.

It was painted probably late 60's to 1970.  This was a second portrait of two, done by talented portrait artist Richard H. Wiley.  Robbie Buchanan or his family selected the other portrait to keep, back when it was commissioned.  The family of the artist would like to contact Robbie Buchanan or his family to give them the second portrait should they care to have it.

If anyone recognizes Robert Buchanan and knows how to get in touch with him or any of his family, please use this contact info: Ryan Wiley (son of painter Richard H. Wiley), rhw8006@hotmail.com
